October 2020

Autumn is here, & it’s is quite beautiful in Michigan. I really like the change of color in the leaves.
Autumn is the time when deciduous trees shed their leaves. The leaves change from green to
red, orange, yellow or brown before falling. While it’s hard to say goodbye to summer warmth and
fun, there’s still a whole lot to love about autumn. With fall comes Halloween, Thanksgiving, crisp
breezes, and golden light and changing leaves.
As most folks know, Arkay had to close down on March 19 due to the COVID 19 Pandemic for
health & safety of our consumers & staff. During this time off Arkay paid all of our employees with
benefits. Arkay recently reopened our doors on July 1. Again, we are offering are vocational &
day programming; & now have several sites that offer supported employment. If your loved
needs a staff to help them for a home activity or skill building, we would be glad to assist you
in this matter. We can come to the home if requested. We are here to serve you & meet your
needs.
Again, if you have a loved one who can’t attend in person, Arkay has virtual skill building
(VSB) which can assist your loved one. We have a great team who has put together a great
curriculum for the people we serve. I really think you would enjoy being part of this program.
These sessions have been very welcomed by our participant. Our team is very dedicated to
helping our consumers to connect with others using technology. We will soon have the October
calendar forVSB. I know that there will be a great variety of class discussions. It is very enjoyable.
At the end of the day, we want two things from you:

  1. We want you to be satisfied with our services, &
  2. We want to let you know how much we appreciate you for choosing Arkay.
Please feel free to call with any questions. We would be glad to assist & serve you in any way
    possible. The number is 734-282-8055.
I hope that all of you are well. Remember, this challenging time will come to pass. Enjoy every
    moment. Stay healthy.
    Very Sincerely,
    Kevin
